The 2026 NCAA Division I Conference season is heating up, and the battle of the sexes has taken an intriguing turn! With just one day remaining, the men have surged ahead in the automatic qualifier race, securing 77 spots compared to the women's 69.

Six new women secured their spots, with Cameron Snowden from UNC Wilmington shining in the women's 100 fly at the Coastal Athletic Association Championships. Mid-major schools and the Big 12 made their presence known, showcasing the depth of talent across the nation.

The MAC added two more qualifiers to their tally, with Zita Szoke and Claire Cox claiming victories in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, respectively. Maria Erokhina became the first female qualifier from the MPSF, joining the ranks with an impressive 100 breaststroke performance.
